Ky Koch

Mr. Koch is admitted to practice in all courts of the State of Florida, the Federal District Court for the Middle District of Florida and the United States Supreme Court; he has also represented clients in various parts of the United States. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Florida Bar, and the Clearwater Bar Association. He has been admitted to practice in Florida since 1979 when he, Mr. Koch was appointed an Assistant State Attorney for the Sixth Judicial Circuit of Florida, a position he held in excess of three years. Mr. Koch is a past President of the Clearwater Bar Association in 1987 to 1988, previously serving that organization on its board of directors, as its treasurer and its secretary. He served as a member of the Florida Bar Grievance Committee from 1984 to 1987 and as its chairman from 1986 to 1987. Mr. Koch also served as Chair of the Second DCA Judicial Nominating Committee. In 1989, Mr. Koch was elected to the Board of Governors of the Florida Bar (the governing body of the State’s lawyers). He served three consecutive two-year terms. Mr. Koch is the past president of the Florida Council of Bar Association Presidents and is the former chairman of various Florida Bar Committees. He has served three consecutive terms as the vice-chairman of the Florida Bar’s All Bar Conference and two consecutive terms on the Executive Committee of the Florida Bar. Mr. Koch is a past chairman of the Clearwater Bar Association Marital and Family Law Committee and is the former chairman (1999-2000) of the Florida Bar Family Law Section. Mr. Koch is a founding member and former president of the Executive Committee of the Canakaris Family Law Inn of Court. As an informative and entertaining presenter, he frequently has been invited to lecture for Continuing Legal Education programs in Florida and throughout the country. He has been an invited instructor of Domestic Relations and Litigation Practicum at Stetson University College of Law. Mr. Koch is committed to doing what is best for his clients and working hard to get them the best results possible without the extraordinary cost of an expensive court battle.
